We got up early in the morning at around 7 AM, because we wanted to reach a hostel in Erwin, Tennessee, so we could have a good night’s sleep. We started the day with a small up to Little Bald, from there we had a 2 mile down to whistling Gap, and then a small up to High Rocks. There we met two other hikers who told us that there had been many trees that were falling down near Spivey Gap, and that we should be careful. So, we thanked them and headed on our way. Down at Spivey Gap there was a really old forest, and we saw lots of fallen and dead / rotting trees. From Spivey Gap, we had a small up and a gradual down and flat to No Business Knob Shelter. While going to the shelter we passed a part of the trail where there was a thick layer of pine needles on the ground, which only fell from one or two trees, you couldn’t feel the dirt. At mile 337.8, 0.2 miles from the shelter, there was a water source where we filled up our packs. At the shelter we met two more hikers. They were staying the night at the shelter, and their names were Larry and Gary. They told us that in Tennessee there were no bear cables or privies along the trail. We stopped at the shelter to eat Macaroni and Cheese for lunch, and then said goodbye and headed on our way to Erwin. On the way to Erwin we had a lot of flat, and then 2.6 miles down to Erwin. The hike down had a lot of switchbacks and was tiring. Once we got to Erwin, we went and stayed at Uncle Johnny’s Hostel. We rented a cabin, took showers, put our clothes in the laundry, and then biked to Panchos and Amigos, a Mexican restaurant for dinner. (pic below)
The food there was good and satisfying. Then we came back and hit the bed for a good night’s sleep.

A motivating discussion is worth comment. I do think that you ought to publish more about this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but typically people dont talk about these topics. To the next! Best wishes!!
